Leonard Lowell Jacobsen's Obituary
Leonard L. Jacobsen
Leonard passed away in Tacoma on March 2, 2009. He was born on July 26, 1928 in Iowa, and came to Tacoma to work for the railroad in 1950, retiring after 40 years from the BN Railroad. Len is dearly missed by all of us who loved him: his wife Shirley, and their blended family of eight children, Terry, Jimmy, Danny, Debbie, Joni, Dee-Dee (who greeted Len in Heaven), Laurie and Jamie. Len had 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Len was an avid outdoorsman who taught his kids how to hunt, fish and camp. Traveling was an important part of Len and Shirley's lives, whether camping in their 5th wheel or driving to Reno. Len loved his family and his life. He worked hard, played with passion and loved strongly. "Know when to hold 'em. Know when to fold 'em." At his request, no services will be held.
