Leonard P. Liptack's Obituary
Former Livingston resident Leonard P Liptack, 101, passed away April 21,2017 at Gig Harbor Washington. Leonard was born Oct. 31, 1915 in Covington, Washington to Alexander and Lena Liptack. As a child he survived a fight with Rheumatic Fever that had him hospitalized for 9 months at the age of 7. He went on to a career as an electrician and supervisor for the Northern Pacific Railroad in Washington and Minnesota before moving to Livingston in 1958 and retiring from the Burlington Northern Railroad there in 1975. He married Frances Crane in 1941 and is survived by their children Steve Liptack of Libby Montana, Rick Liptack of Spokane Washington, Marilyn (Wes) Lantz of Olalla, Washington and Ron ( Tacy) Liptack of Alliance Nebraska. He is also survived by his grandchildren Alex Liptack of Auburn, Washington Amy Jeffery of Duvall, Washington and Taylor Liptack of Colorado Springs Colorado and great grandson Bryson Rary of Duvall Washington. Leonard was preceded in death by his wife Frances, daughter Karen, grandson Ryan Jeffery and second wife Helen. Leonard had a full life of story telling, joking, golf and travel and will be missed by all who knew him.
