MSG Leonard Dale Oestreich, U.S.A. (Ret.)Leonard D. Oestreich, retired Master Sergeant, passed away Friday, April 16, 2004, in Parkland, Washington.Leonard was born June 16, 1940, in Waconia, Minnesota, to Sylvester and Alice Oestreich. He grew up in a family that included twelve brothers and sisters. During his youth, Leonard lived in Minnesota and Washington. After 23 ½ years of faithful and honorable service in the United States Army he retired out of Fort Lewis, Washington.Leonard is survived by his sons, Leonard Jr. and Sylvester Oestreich; daughter, Susan L. Hanson; granddaughters, Chelsey Oestreich and Rachel Hanson; and SusanÂ's mother, Sony Oestreich.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Oestreich, mother of Leonard Jr. and Sylvester. Leonard was also preceded in death by his parents.A funeral service will be held at Noon, Saturday, April 24, 2004, at the Mt. View Celebration of Life Center, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM Â- 9:00 PM, Friday, April 23, 2004.
