Leonard J. Bruce's Obituary
Leonard 'Jim' Bruce passed away on October 26, 2020 in Puyallup, WA. Jim was born January 29, 1954 to the late William S. and Betty J. Bruce (Odgers) in Colorado Springs, Colo. He grew up Colorado and lived in several states, including Wyoming and California, before moving to Puyallup 15 years ago. Jim served in the Navy from 1975 until 1977, with an additional year in the Naval Reserves. He earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with Bronze Star. He worked in telecommunications repair and was a licensed fork lift operator before beginning work in retail management where he spent most of his career. He is lovingly remembered as an outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
He is survived by his sisters Carolyn Toney (Gordon) of Puyallup, WA and Kathleen Krueger (Daniel) of Houston TX and his long time girlfriend Teri West-Daugherty of Lakewood, WA. He is also survived by his nephews Daniel (Lindsay) Krueger, Justin Toney, (Court Weddle) Jacob (Rachel) Toney, niece Mary Krueger and great nephew and niece, Luke Krueger and Mia Toney.
