Leon Robert Harshman's Obituary
Leon Robert Harshman was born December 28, 1960 to Annette and Robert Harshman, in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Leon went to Mt. Tahoma High School in Tacoma, Washington. In his senior year, he joined the United States Army. After honorably serving his country, Leon completed an apprenticeship with the Painters Union and became a Journeyman Painter.
Leon loved nature and helping anyone he could help. He loved bringing people together. He loved working, science, reading, writing, working out and working on any kind of vehicle. Leon had a sweet tooth and loved any kind of pastry, especially anything with strawberry. He also loved to have his tea along with his sweets.
Leon is survived by his wife Sonya D. Harshman, step-daughter, Amy (Roger) Irwin, daughter, Amanda Gaynor, step-son, Timothy Gaynor, and three granddaughters, Alexandria, Ana and Amelia Irwin. He is also survived by his brother, Eugene Harshman, sister, Joanne (John) Lang, and nieces, Diana Lang and Jessica Harshman Soloman. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father and brothers, Michael Harshman and David Harshman.
Leon had a favorite saying, "Can't we all just get along?"
