Leon Nearing's Obituary
Leon Nearing was born August 3, 1959 in Lima, Ohio to Earline and Dodge Nearing. After relocating to WA, he attended Franklin High in Seattle, and then attended Renton Technical College where he completed the apprenticeship program as a Tool and Cutter grinder. He worked for the Boeing Company for 25 years, and was promoted to a tool development position within the company. He really enjoyed his work.He met his wife Yolanda in high school, and later married her in January 1979. Leon was preceded in death by his parents Dodge & Earline Nearing, sister Sylvia Rogers, and brother Gregory Nearing. He is survived by his wife Yolanda, two daughters Angelina, and Chante, and granddaughter Aryanna Davis, his five remaining siblings: Dodge Jr, David and Jonthan all of California, sister Magline (Cecil) Smith, and brother Lee Nearing both of Washington; other relatives include his mother-in-law Jean Bougard, brothers-in-law Darrell, John, James Jr. and Michael Bougard, sisters-in-law Kenya (Arron) Burgess, along with Jeaneen and Evelyn Bougard, and close friends Richard and Martine Ditty, and Rodney Johnson, all of Wichita, KS, Walter Williams, and a host of other relatives and friends, all loved by him.Visitation will be from 12:00 to 9:00 PM, TODAY, July 25, 2006 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Greater Life COGIC, Lakewood, WA. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Renton, WA.We would also like to thank all of the members of the Boeing Co. who worked with Leon for their special kindness to our family. May Leon walk with Jesus in the sky.
