Lena Stokes' Obituary
Lena Mae Stokes, 70 of Tacoma, went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2019. Born in Danville, Virginia on March 21, 1938, Lena was dedicated Army wife, she took care of the home while her husband served our country. She was a member of New Hope Baptist, where she enjoyed listening to her husband sing to the Lord.
Lena was married to her loving husband Bernard for 58 years who proceeded her in her journey to the Lord. She is survived by her 5 sons, Anders, Kenneth, Dennis, Jeffery, and Rodney; daughter, Valarie; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A memorial service with military honors will be held on Monday, April 1 at 1:00p.m. in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Memorial Park. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
