LeeRoy Theinas Alsbury's Obituary
LeeRoy T. Alsbury was born June 6th 1913 in Zillah, WA, & died peacefully in his sleep after an unexpected injury on June 7th, 2008. LeeRoy was a resident of Lakewood for the past 65 years. He was married to Margaret Alsbury and they celebrated 70 wonderful years together this past January. LeeRoy is preceded in death by his son Lee Tom Alsbury. He survived by his wife Margaret, son Don (Eileen), grandchildren Jeff, John, Lisa Jane (Nigel) Bakewell, Rob (Dana), Shelly (Brian) Knoll, and Todd (Amy), & great grandchildren Madison & Matthew Knoll, Aaron & Kolbe Bakewell, and Grant Alsbury. LeeRoy graduated from the College of Puget Sound in 1938 & American University in 1940. He was a teacher at Clover Park H.S. for over 35 years and for 3 of those years head of their Guidance Dept. LeeRoy, along with Sid Olson, established a successful construction company in the Lakewood area. After retirement LeeRoy & Margaret loved to travel together to many different parts of the world. They enjoyed spending the warm winters in sunny Arizona & also traveling with their trailer club. He loved fishing, golfing, gardening, & time with his family. Funeral will be Saturday, June 14th at 2pm, Mt. View Funeral Home, Aspen Chapel. Viewing will be held 12-9pm Friday June 13, 2008 at Mountain View Funeral Home.
