Lee Swanson's Obituary
Lee Swanson passed away peacefully on March 17, 2018. He was shown the light and followed it home.
Lee was born in Kennedy, Minnesota on July 5, 1933 to Stanley and Hilda Swanson. Lee moved to the Northwest in 1953 (compliments of the US Army). He met Luella (Lu) Olson. Lee and Lu married on June 11, 1958. They lived in Lakewood, Washington where their daughter Kari was born. They made Puyallup their home for the past 40 years.
Lee was in the wholesale plumbing supply business. In retirement, Lee gave many hours volunteering at the Elbe Church.
He was a true Swede. Even though he had a complete set of tools in his spotless garage…his favorite tool was a big hammer. He was a hardworking man to the end.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lu, daughter, Kari Doubet (Harold) of Puyallup, grandson, Eric Doubet (Kelsey VanderWaal) of Portland, Oregon, and brother Myron Swanson(Gerry) of Hallock, Minnesota.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Elbe Lutheran Church or Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
