Lawrence Williams Jr.'s Obituary
Lawrence Williams Jr. 10/25/41 - 7/3/16 Lawrence (Larry) Williams, Jr., a beloved member of the PNW blues music community, died peacefully at home at the age of 74, following a brief illness. Larry was a generous soul and happily donated his time, ideas and considerable talents whenever he saw a need. A talented, self-taught, photographer, Larry's images of blues musicians, events, and fans have appeared in magazines, on album covers, artist websites, and other media. He especially delighted in gifting people with framed photos of themselves. Larry served his country for 22 years, first as a member of the Navy during the Viet Nam War, then with the Coast Guard, retiring some years ago as a Chief Petty Officer. Larry is survived by his devoted partner, Theresa Southwick, and by many, many friends. Several wakes and fundraisers are being planned in both Seattle and Tacoma. Please access Larry's Facebook page for updates.
