Lawrence Alexander Whitaker IV's Obituary
Lawrence “Larry” Alexander Whitaker IV, 56, of Tacoma, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 and joined his father in heaven. Larry was born on June 3, 1959 on the US Army base of Fort Riley, Kansas. He was the son of the late Lawrence Alexander Whitaker III and Ruth Clark Whitaker who resides in Tacoma. The family later moved to Tacoma where he attended local schools and went on to earn an associates degree from Bates Technical College in Tacoma. He was a mechanic working on various projects for the US government. Those close to him knew how much he loved baseball, cars and good music. Above all he loved his mother "Ruth". He was a good man with a good heart and a Tacoma boy thru and thru.
Besides his mother, Ruth, Larry is survived his son, Lawrence Alexander Whitaker V or “Alex” of Tacoma; two sisters, Valerie Schimling and Barbara Wynne of Tacoma; numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. A Celebration of life with be held Saturday 11/28 at 3:00 pm. 8817 S. Ainsworth Ave, Tacoma. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
