Dad and I—
Mom and Dad
One my favorite memories growing up was going to LongAcres Racetrack watching the horse races. Learning how to read and understand a racing journal and how to structure a bet. I always bet “Place” to be safe and left I always came home with more money than I came with. Not much but to me it was big thing as a kid.
My Dad either won big , or lost big.
Either way we had a great time and I can still smell the roast beef sandwiches with horse radish and a pickle. We would get one very time ❤️👍
I am only 8 years older than my nephew we we more like brothers growing up. Larry always made me feel as if I was his hero. What a joy to see how his family blossomed, and to see the pride he took in each one.
Over the years we were always miles apart but not out of each other memories. I am so glad that a few years ago the the two of us took a cruise and had a chance to bond once again seniors,
