Aunt Sally and family, We know that it is a difficult time for you and our prayers are with you. Take comfort in the fact that Larry is with our Father in Heaven and in no pain. No doubt with his sense of humor he’s got the angels chuckling. We certainly remember Uncle Larry with great fondness. He was always so good to us in so many ways. On one of our first trips to Washington when the kids were small he loaned us his car so we could take them the ocean and of course he wouldnÂ’t let us pay him a dime. Roger remembers playing poker with Larry and of course we all salivate at the thought of his delicious pies. Our family always thinks of Larry at holiday meals. He would give a contented sigh in appreciation of a good meal. Uncle Larry will be missed by us all.

When I remember Larry, I will always picture him smiling,and ready with a story or a quick update on what he and Sally had been doing since I saw them last. He was always good neighbor.
I often work late and I am away from home alot. Larry always kept tabs on the people coming and going -- and he kept an eye out for anything suspicious around my house when I was gone.
Just a few weeks ago he called me to tell me he had some of his home grown tomatoes to share, if I was interested. We chatted briefly about his illness. He was facing it with a strength and courage that would be rare for most, but I suspect was typical of Larry.
My sincere sympathy to Sally and all of Larry's family. He was a good man, and he will be missed.

Dear Shirley and family,
I have such good memories of both your mom and dad. I'll never forget your dad telling us "of course you girls have to have some wheels" when we took our trip to Puerto Rico. He was always so upbeat with his funny little jokes.
He will be sorely missed.

Gene and I have some really good memories of Larry. He was a very special person and I always looked forward to seeing you and Larry when you'd come to Nebraska. I also remember a great meal you two served us when we were in Washington with Sandy and Maxine. I think now that Larry and Sandy are greeting one another in a better place where they are both well and happy.

Aunt Sally, Carolee, Shirley, Marcy and families. We were so sorry to hear of Uncle Larry's passing. I still have fond memories of the visits you made back to Nebraska and the poker lessions. I remember on a trip to Washington when I was much younger I really wanted to try the push mower that uncle Larry had and he was eager to let me try my hand. Even during our last visit in 1999, uncle Larry was on the go, going to the store for fresh rainier cherry's.

My Dear Sally and Family:
It was with much sadness when we learned of "Jiggs'" passing. He was always thought of with love and a person who always had a sense of humor. His continual smile was a real "uplifter". Don't remember him saying an unkind thing about anyone. I even remember my Dad and Mom (Uncle Al and Aunt Ethel Gesch) going to Papillion, Nebraska to "stand up for them" when they were married. Oh my, how time flies. We wish you, Sally, and your family our sincere condolences and prayers that you may continue to keep loving thoughts of Jiggs and never forget him, or the multitude of friends he made. A favorite Bible passage of mine is: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4." You will draw comfort not only from God, but also your loving family and many friends.
