Lauretta A. Luton's Obituary
Lauretta A. Luton 92 a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away May 24th 2003 and is now at peace with her Lord. She was born September 26th 1910 in Tacoma Washington. Lauretta is survived by her sister Ruth B. Miller a niece Delores Lucich, two nephews Timothy L. and Ronald E. Miller all of Tacoma. She had 16 grandnieces and nephews, 24 great-great nieces and nephews and 6 great-great-great nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara and Katherine and one brother Charles. Lauretta had many and varied jobs including ones at Roman Meal and Washington Hardware. She was a Co-owner of the Diamond Taxicab Company with her late husband Bill. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and music, especially Lawrence Welk. At age 90 she was still able to successfully challenge all comers at Completing crossword puzzles. She was a long time member of the Tacoma First Church of the Nazarene. There will be a graveside service at 10:30 AM at Mt. View Memorial Park on Friday May 30th; this will be followed by a Memorial service at 11:30 AM at the Tacoma First Church of the Nazarene at 3640 So. M. Street, Tacoma. A luncheon reception will follow. Remembrances can be given in LaurettaÂ's name at the Tacoma First Church of the Nazarene.
