Laura W. Black's Obituary
Laura W. Black, 89, a lifelong resident of Tacoma, passed away April 21, 2004. Having come from humble beginnings she was known for her steadfast devotion and love of her family. Through her love of creating arts and crafts, especially quilts and Teddy Bears, she inspired all who knew her creations. She was recognized by the State of Washington for her extensive volunteer efforts to always help others improve their situation and her community. We will all miss her. Survivors include: Her son Leonard Black and wife Graciela Bravo-Black; two grandchildren, Tom and wife Kari and Jessica Black; and three nieces Marion and Katherine Lawliss, and Sharon Ince and husband Charles and two sons Kenneth and Kevin.Viewing Sunday, 1 Â- 9 PM, Chapel and Graveside services Monday, April 26, 2004, 2 PM at Mt. View Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the Pierce County Heart Association or Diabetes Association of Pierce County.
