I was saddened to hear of Lars' passing and extend my condolences to his family. He and Anna lived for many years, across the street from my grandparents, Arne & Effie Haugen, in Tacoma. Both Lars and Anna were always so very outgoing and friendly and Lars helped me on several occasions in unloading and carrying parts of a pipe organ that I was installing in my grandparent's basement. I remember their having a large apple tree on their property and often bringing over bags of ripe apples for us to enjoy (and Anna made a mean apple pie, too!) Lars served as pallbearer for my grandfather when he passed away in 1980 and I had not seen him since. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and I will always remember with fond recollection his smile and friendship.##imported-begin##Terry Hochmuth##imported-end##
