Larry A. Walters' Obituary
Larry Allen Walters passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and Pastors on June 16, 2017 after an incredible 18 year battle with Leukemia.
Born to Bob and Hilde Walters on February 2,1953 in Tacoma, Wa. Nana fondly referred to him as "All Angel." He attended all Tacoma schools: DeLong, Hunt, Wilson and TCC.
His smile and fun loving personality quickly won him friendships that have lasted a lifetime.
A very smart, aspiring young man, he pursued piloting lessons, Radio & TV Broadcasting in Ketchikan, AK and KTCB-9 in Tacoma. He sold condominiums in Hawaii, earned Salesman of the year as a Food Broker, and eventually owned his own Insurance Business.
He loved people, he loved music of all kinds, singing in the Tacoma TotemAires, watching Seahawks games with his children, being greeter/usher for many years at Praise Covenant Church, but most of all enjoyed being with his constant companion and wife Paula.
Larry is survived by his wife Paula, sons Aaron and Brian (Chiemi), stepchildren Kellie (Mike), Scot, Shawna (Wes), Jason. Grandchildren Felicity, Bryonna, Layla, Elise & Olivia. Siblings Brigitte Cushman, John Walters, Jim Walters,Tami Markovich and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
A Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2017 at Mountain View Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Larry will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Praise Covenant Church, 3501 S Orchard St W, Tacoma, 98466.
