Larry J. Milloy's Obituary
Larry Jay Milloy was born on May 3, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Lawyer John Milloy and Earnestine Elizabeth Milloy.
Larry graduated from Soldan High School in 1974. While there, he met and married Mae Bell Blakney. From this union, God blessed them with two sons, Lawyer Marzell Milloy and Galvin Tobias Milloy.
In 1975, he enlisted in the United States Army and served overseas before ending his military career in 1982.
For many years, Larry was a dedicated member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Lakewood, Washington and Divine Revelation Ministries in Tacoma, Washington. He served as an outstanding head deacon, usher and armor bearer. In addition to his life of service, he was passionate about music, cooking, and above all spreading joy to those around him.
He united in holy matrimony with Cynthia Bynum on June 21, 2014. During their marriage, he earned his Culinary Arts degree from Clover Park Technical College.
Larry Jay Milloy departed this life on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Tacoma General Hospital with his family by his side as he took his last breath. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Cynthia "Cece" Milloy; two sons, Lawyer Milloy (Claudine) and Galvin Milloy (Angela); two stepsons, Patrick Dunlop (Becky) and Wesley Dunlop; three brothers, Donald Milloy, Godfrey Yancy (Diane) and Kevin Milloy (Marilyn); five grandchildren, Amirah, Kiara, Tia, Breya and Tobias; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
