I wish to tell your family how sorry I am to hear that your "Band Leader" will no longer be conducting the Carter Family...... I truly enjoyed the times that I have had the honor of hearing the "Boys "make music together. Music that was inspired into his children so many years ago by this elegant man. I saw admiration and respect in his face watching his sons "Groove" on stage with him..... and I saw the same feelings on the faces of Butch, Kevan , and Keith, as they played the selections along with him....Loosing a Father will almost always leave a hole in your heart...... But when that man also taught you the most precious thing in your life, one of the main things that defines WHO you are..... That lose is doubled....He was always a gentleman to me and had my utmost respect....I feel your pain.....Cliff
What a nice fella and oh so supportive of my keyboard skills. Although I only met him a couple of time LaRoi loved to talk to me about his gigs present and past in both Tacoma and Seattle. I will miss this great guy!
