Lance T Lorrigan
Lance was born June 3, 1944 in Sedro Woolley, WA, the son of the late Thomas and Eloise (Tolman) Lorrigan. He passed away April 29, 2017 in Aberdeen, WA. In addition to his parents, Lance is predeceased by his brother Jerry Lorrigan of Corvallis, MT.
Lance is survived by his loving wife, the former Margaret Ruth Cochran to whom he had been married for 33 years ; his Brother Monte Lorrigan of Preston, ID; his Sisters Joyce Beard of Umatilla, OR and Sonja Hopkins of Anderson Island, WA; and half-Brothers Michael Mitchell of Lakewood, WA and Ricki Mitchell of California. Lance is survived by his daughters, Lisa Sue (William) Ross of Cherry Tree, PA and Darci Fawn (Christian) Jewell of Hammond, WI. He is survived by a son, Derrick David of Spokane, WA. Grandchildren: Emily Dawn (Keith) Doyle, Olivia Leigh (William) Stein, Ayrica Ruth Jewell and Baylee Grace Jewell; Great-granddaughter, Jozy LeighAnn Stein.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, grand/great grandfather, and uncle. He was a member of LDS Church.
He attended high school in Weiser, Idaho, graduating in 1962. After serving his country in the Army, he spent his work life in the construction trade. He was a journeyman carpenter and a field superintendent for PCL, one of the largest commercial construction companies in the Puget Sound.
He was president of the Kirkland JayCees in the late 1970s and twice received the National Outstanding Young Men of America award in that organization. He led the charitable events for the Mossy Bay Pirates.
He loved family gatherings, home karaoke parties, and was passionate about the Seahawks. One of the joys of his life was walking hand in hand along the beach with his beloved wife Margaret. He will be remembered and missed.
A family celebration gathering was held 10am Saturday, May 6 in the Willow Room at the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.
