Lan Hamilton's Obituary
Lan H. Hamilton, 73, was called home by her Lord after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease on October 7, 2014 in Tacoma, WA. She was born on October 19, 1940 in Nam Dinh, Vietnam to Khong Dinh Tai and Nguyen Thi Hoi.
As a Master Seamstress, she provided her skills to a number of companies on the West Coast making anything from regimental flags for the military to fine clothing. Lan's family will remember that she had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to dance and was a phenomenal cook. She was especially proud of becoming a naturalized citizen in 1993. Her first love was for her family, always putting their needs before her own. We will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband Frederick; children Jerry McCormick, Tarry McCormick, Mai McCormick-Ahmad and Daniel McCormick and 5 grandchildren. Lan was preceded in death by her parents and brother Khong Dinh Don.
Services will be held at 2pm, Monday, October 13, 2014 at Mountain View Funeral Home Celebration of Life Center Aspen Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm, Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Parkinson's Foundation or to the American Cancer Society.
Psalm 116:15: "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints".
