Lael L. Dorman's Obituary
Lael Leota Dorman was born on 17 Feb 1928 in Weiser, Idaho to Frederick George Hansen and Harriett Maughan and departed for her heavenly home at Tacoma, Washington on 2 May 2006.She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a missionary and in numerous other callings. She married Dale Reece Dorman, at Weiser, Idaho on 19 April 1949. They were sealed for time and eternity in the London England Temple in 1962. They lived in Germany and Texas before residing in Lakewood. Lael was privileged to tour several communist countries behind the Iron Curtain. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, six children and their spouses, Gary(Laurice), Roger (Mary), George (Linda), Lisa Brown (Cory), Cynthia Davis (Steven), and Christina Pickering (Dale); one sister, Marjorie (Hansen) Cooper of Weiser, Idaho; 25 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.Her parents, one sister, Roma, one brother, Stan, and one grandchild, Dale Davis preceded her in death.The family expresses appreciation to her many friends for their support during her brief illness and to those who provided such professional medical care. It is suggested that in lieu of flowers a contribution in her memory be made to Franciscan Foundation, 1717 S. Â"JÂ" Street, Tacoma, WA.Viewing will be from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Friday, May 5, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lakewood Ward, 5220 104th St. S.W., Lakewood, with a funeral service at 1:00 PM, that same afternoon. Interment will be at New Tacoma Cemetery, University Place, Washington directly after the service.
