Kimberly Ann Gruenfeld
Kimberly Ann Gruenfeld died peacefully at the age of 61 on November 28, 2011 following a major heart attack and a series of health setbacks. Kim was surrounded by her family and in the hearts of many friends and family as she passed on at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma. Kim - or "Kitti," her chosen nickname - is the beloved daughter of Jay Gruenfeld (DuPont, WA) and Jennifer Green (San Rafael, CA), the cherished twin of Wendy Ann Haynes (Cape Cod, MA) and sister of Barbara Gay Swayze (Portland, OR), stepsister to Deni Sutherland (Mercer Island, WA), Lisa Call (Santa Barbara, CA) and Chris Gruenfeld (Seattle, WA). Kim is survived by adoring brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews and their children who loved their Auntie Kim. Kim was a devout Christian and a gifted pianist and poet who often entertained and soothed her many friends and family with her artistic talents and warm heart. Her great kindness and generosity of spirit could be seen in her special bond with creatures of all sorts, from baby bunnies to large dogs and people.
