Kham Thammavongsa's Obituary
Kham “Ma Thou” Thammavongsa passed away peacefully on April 29th, 2024. She immigrated to the United States in 1979. After living in Georgia and Tennessee, she made Washington state her forever home for the last 35 years. She was a highly respected member of the Buddhist society and attended the temple regularly until the day she was physically unable to. She didn’t have much to give but what she had, she gave and donated to all different types of charities. Her passion was making intricate traditional Lao wedding attire for brides-to-be.
She is survived by her 5 children, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson Amir. Ma Thou was a beautiful golden soul who will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will never be forgotten. We will always love our Ma Thou.
