Today, we celebrate the beautiful life of Kevin Jay Sexton, a man whose creativity, positivity, and zest for life touched everyone around him. Born on July 26, 1968, in Longview, WA, Kevin's journey was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
From a young age, Kevin displayed a remarkable talent for the arts. His pencil drawings and cartoon sketches were infused with humor, showcasing his unique perspective and creative spirit. He had an innate ability to bring smiles to others through his art.
An experienced chef and an amazing grill master, Kevin expressed his love through food. Cooking wasn't just a hobby for him; it was his love language. He delighted in bringing people together around a table, filling hearts and stomachs with warmth and happiness.
Kevin's adventurous spirit led him to embrace the great outdoors. He loved exploring through mountain biking, kayaking, swimming, and hiking. There was never a trail too rugged or a river too wild for Kevin; he thrived on the excitement of new adventures and the beauty of nature.
Music was an important part of his life and his passion for rock music took him to many music festivals. He especially enjoyed 80’s metal and blues music, and he even dabbled in playing guitar himself on occasion.
His key personality traits—creative, supportive, determined, and resilient—defined the way he lived his life. Kevin was the most positive, encouraging, and happy person. He loved a good time and took every opportunity to bring joy to others.
Kevin is fondly remembered by his cousins Richard "Red" Brumley, Dennis Brumley, Chuck Sexton, Sherri Van Dusen, Rena George, and many others; his beloved Aunt Laura and Uncle Dick (“The Celebrities"); and the Moya, Flores and Winegar families. He was preceded in passing by his beloved parents, Fred and Bonnie Sexton, and his brother Jeffrey Sexton.
As we reflect on Kevin's life, we hold onto the happy memories and the indelible impact he made on our lives. His legacy of joy, creativity, and exploration lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
