Kerry Lou Burger's Obituary
Forever loved, Kerry Lou Burger passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024, joining her husband, brother, and parents on the other side. She lived a life of caring, service to others, and mentoring that was undeniably inspiring.
Kerry was born to James and Mabel Patrick on September 25th, 1948. She grew up with a loving family and being a military family lived all over the United States. Kerry married her husband, Thomas, in 1970 and had two children, Christopher and John. They were the love of her life.
In 1979 Kerry and her family moved to Westport, Wa. Kerry taught piano and substitute taught while raising the children and helping Tom grow his business. Kerry began teaching full-time in 1988 for the Aberdeen School District. Along with family activities Kerry enjoyed participating in local theater and performed with the Grayland Players for many years in a wide range of roles.
Kerry leaves behind her son Christopher Burger, Daughter in law Jamie Burger, Grandchildren Isabella, Alex, Thomas, and Brayden Burger. Son John Macaulay, and Grandson Philip Zitzelman.
The family will not be doing a service, but later in the year will be joining family members back east for a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers the family asks that friends consider a donation to the Grayland Hall/ Grayland players or to an Alzheimer’s research organization.
Her friends and family were the center of her universe and will continue to honor her legacy by living life to the fullest.
