To our family and friends and all those gathered to celebrate the home going of Rev. Kent Wilson,
We bring you greetings from Dar Es Salaam Tanzania, California, and Illinois. We are sorry we could not be with you physically to give a needed hug, lend an extra hand, or share a word of encouragement that might have given comfort. We just wanted to let you know we are with you in our hearts.
To all believers we have the hope of heaven. We can rest on God’s word. For in the bible tells us to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. So we know that Kent is in the present of our Lord. He has entered into his eternal rest.
We realize what a difficult time this is for you and the rest of our family. The bible tells us that it’s okay to cry, because Jesus himself wept. Just remember that weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. So weep a little while, than dry your tears, and live on in a life that would make Kent proud.
In ending I (Karen Wilson Lee) have one story to share. Before Kent was walking with the Lord he took delight in jokingly call me a holy roller. It was my greatest joy to see him face to face. I reminded him of how he used to tease me. He got that great big grin on his face, and I could see the joy of our Lord radiating from him. All I could say was I guess, now you’re rolling with me! He just grinned.
My wish for you my family and friends is for you to get to know the same Lord and Savior that Kent worshipped and served faithfully. Celebrate his home going and don’t leave without knowing for sure you will be seeing him again.
