Kenneth S. Gould1913 Â- 2004Ken was born on March 31, 1913, near Wilder, ID, and died December 7, 2004, in Tacoma, WA. He was the son of Charles and Nellie Day Gould. He is survived by his brother Charles (Gerry) Gould of Longview, WA.Survivors include his four children: Ken (Rose) Gould Jr., Nadine (Larry) Drotz, Nancy Ahrens and Sky Singinglightning; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Kenneth attended school in Wilder, Nampa, and Fruitland, ID, as well as school in Antioch, Copan, and Oklahoma City, OK, and Coffeyville, KA.He served in the Idaho National Guard Cavalry & Field Artillery. He received a commission in the Army Quartermaster Corp. in 1942. Kenneth served 4 ½ years active duty and went into the Army Reserve in 1949, serving a total of 21 years. He retired as a Major in 1969.While at Fort Lewis, WA, he met and married Evangeline (Bo Peep) Utterback who preceded him in death February 2004.Ken worked for Hunt & Mottet Co. and was a member of Teamsters Local 599. His hobbies included gardening, fishing, playing Pinochle, and watching baseball. He played board games with his children such as Â"Uncle Wiggly.Â"He enjoyed acting and participating in plays at the Tacoma Little Theatre and Alterra. He was an office elf at his church where he was a 60 year member.Ken requests memorials be sent to First United Methodist Church, where his memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2004, at 11AM, 423 Martin Luther King Jr. Way. 253-627-0129. Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, December 14, 2004. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Monday, December 13, 2004, at Mountain View Funeral Home.
