Kenneth Roach's Obituary
Kenneth Lowell Roach passed away August 27, 2023 at the age of 69, surrounded by his family. Ken leaves behind his wife Janet of 48 years, son Travis Roach ( Katie), daughters Stephanie Roach and Tricia Johnson (Charlie), and 8 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Pamela Molner.
Ken was born in Anchorage , Alaska to Lowell and Bettygene Roach. The family settled in Tacoma, Washington where Ken graduated from Mt. Tahoma High School in 1972. He went on to work for Boeing for over 30 years and finally fulfilled a lifetime dream to retire to his favorite place at the beach of Pacific County.
Ken was an avid sportsman. He loved playing football and baseball in his younger years, took up golf and archery for a number of years, and later became an avid supporter of the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks. As a child he was taught to hunt, fish, and navigate the woods of Pacific County by his grandfather. Along with the skills came a deep appreciation of the outdoor spaces and the animals. One of his joys in retirement was watching elk and deer in the yard. He was a lifetime member of the Tacoma Sportsmens Club.
Ken and Janet were blessed with a retirement place that encouraged the grandchildren to come and play. He loved being Pa who spoiled them, teased them, and was very proud of their accomplishments. He will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you send a donation to your favorite charity.
