He was born February 9, 1941, in Miami, Arizona, a copper mining town, to Glenn Donald and Bessie Delores Buckridge. Ken was always known to his family as Kenny and to everyone else after he left home as Ken.
He loved hunting and fishing with his father and chose forestry as a profession, graduating from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Ken joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints his last year of college. His first job after graduating was in Orofino, Idaho working for the State of Idaho. He received his draft notice in 1964 and joined the National Guard. He was called on a full-time mission to the New England States Mission in 1965 with Boyd K. Packer as his Mission President. After Ken's mission he accepted a job for the State of Washington where he then met his wife, Georgia. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 24, 1968 and married for 55+ years.
Ken began his forestry career with the Army Corps of Engineers at JBLM and was employed there for 30 years. He served in many church callings, including but not limited to, scouting, missionary work, High Council, and Bishop. He has always had a great testimony of the Savior and the Restoration.
