Kenneth L. Trent's Obituary
Kenneth L. Trent
June 28, 1931 - Nov. 7, 2008
Our father, Kenneth, passed away on November 7, 2008, with his loving wife, Juanita, by his side. He was born June 28, 1931 in Overland Park, Kansas. At the young age of 10, he moved to Steilacoom, Washington where he created many lifelong memories and friends. He attended Clover Park High School, and then entered the U.S. Army where he served during the Korean War. This was an experience he proudly recalled throughout his life. After his military career, Kenneth met the love of his life, Juanita. They married on March 20, 1953 and had four children. He used to smile and say, "It was love at first sight." A love that lasted a life time. In wanting to help others, he found his calling through his career as a Seattle Police Officer until his retirement in 1982. Even after his retirement, he continued to find ways to help people in the community. Throughout his life, he loved the outdoors and everything that it brought with it: hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, camping and sitting around the campfire with his family and friends. So much so that he and Juanita and their close friends developed the perfect vacation property in Onalaska, Washington, which has been enjoyed by many. Kenneth was preceded in death by his son Anthony (Tony). He is survived by his wife, Juanita; his son, Alex (Sherril) Trent; daughters Rhonda (Jorge) Pacheco; Yvonne (Rick) Reed; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He loved, and is loved and is missed very much. Services will be held on November 15, 2008 at 1:00 at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Valley Chapel at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. S.W., Lakewood. A reception will follow in the Celebration Hall. Per Kenneth's wishes there will be no viewing.
