Kenneth graduated from North Mason High School and went on to receive an Associate of Arts degree from Olympic College. Following his graduation, Kenneth dedicated himself to a career in the United States Air Force as a personnel technician. He served with honor during the Vietnam War and retired after 22 years of service in 1987. He received numerous medals and awards as an airman, including a Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal (two bronze oak leaf clusters), Air Force Outstanding Unit Award (three bronze oak leaf clusters), and an Air Force Good Conduct Medal (one silver oak leaf cluster). After his retirement from the Air Force, Kenneth worked for U-Haul, continuing to demonstrate his unwavering work ethic.
Throughout his career, Kenneth had the opportunity to live in various places, including Greece and California, before finally settling in Washington state. It was in Dafni, Greece, where he met and married the love of his life, Georgia Lambadilou. Together, they raised two wonderful children, a son, and a daughter.
Kenneth's interests were diverse and reflected his zest for life. He enjoyed bowling, reading, working in the yard, camping, and collecting movies, with a special fondness for war films. His affinity for 70's tunes and country music added a melodic backdrop to his easygoing and laid-back personality.
Among the highlights of Kenneth's life were his close relationships with his wife, children, and grandchild, as well as the experiences he gained while traveling with the Air Force. He will be remembered as a hard-working, loving, and dependable family-oriented person who touched the hearts of those who knew him.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Georgia Kovack; son, Timothy Kovack; daughter, Despina Brisson; grandson Nikolas (Sara) Kovack; brother, James (Wendy) Kovack and sister, Karen Horton.
The family would like to convey special thanks to the staff at Pioneer Place for taking such good care of Ken during the last few years of his life.
