Kenneth Howard Smith With his family at his side, Kenneth Howard Smith gently left us on April 24, 2008. He was 81 years of age. A loving husband for 54 years, together he and Gwen Smith built a good life and raised DeLaine Sharon Smith of Seattle. He adored his two grandchildren Steve and Joey Emmert. Ken proudly served his country during World War II and spent a long career with the Milwaukee Road Railway. Ken was known by all as a good friend and a kind and generous soul. Always ready to help a neighbor, or even a stranger, in need, he was a steadfast companion and good Samaritan to all. He will be remembered as a devoted member of the West Campus of the Church of Christ. Ken is also survived by his brothers, Dale and Darrell and his sister Rosalie Walters. Viewing on Monday the 28th from 1:00 to 9:00 at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood. Graveside service on Tuesday the 29th at 1:30pm at Mountain View Memorial Park.
