Kenneth Finley's Obituary
Kenneth "Ken" Finley passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Tacoma, Washington at the age of 64 years.
Born on June 8, 1954 to parents Robert and Lorraine in Tacoma, Washington, the youngest of five children. Ken attended Lincoln High School and always considered the city his home. His career in the paper industry began at the West Tacoma Newsprint mill in Steilacoom, Washington; continued at the Harbor Paper mill in Hoquiam, Washington; and concluded with his retirement from SP Fiber Technologies, in Newberg, Oregon. He took great pride in his work and made longtime friends along the way.
He will be remembered for his quick wit, his sense of integrity, and his unconditional devotion to his family and friends.
Ken is survived by his wife Gail, children Ken (Heidi), Robin (Bobby), and Ryan (Joanna), seven grandchildren Jade, Machaela, Aleena, Alexa, Carlee, Ashlynn, and Owen and great-grandchild Grayson.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held at the Point Defiance Pagoda, 5801 Trolley Lane, Tacoma, Washington 98407 at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018.
