Kenneth D. Beck, Sr.'s Obituary
Kenneth D. Beck Sr.
January 25, 1932 to August 19, 2011
Tsgt Kenneth D. Beck Sr. served in the United States AirForce and retired after twenty plus years of service as a flight engineer on C1-41s. While in the service he spent three years in Okinawa, Japan with brief visits to Vietnam and the Philippines. He was a thesaurus of information on the economy, Jennifer Anniston -- why Brad Pitt dumped her for Angela Joli, and anything to do with War World II. One could ask him anything on the aforementioned topics, if one dared. He loved classical artist Andre Rieu, photography, and woodworking to our despair, after he almost severed his thumb by a wood saw while making a table for his great-granddaughter. Before his thumb had completely healed, and while we collectively held our breath, he was back at the wood saw, determined to finish that table, and he did. That table, will be treasured all the more for the love in which it was made, and the history behind it.
Kenneth is the proud father of 8 children, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was affectionately referred to as Dad, Dadi (pronounced with long -Å"A-Å"), Daddy, Pops, G-Pops, Granddad and dude.
He was, and always will be, Superman to his family (yes, G-Pops sported an -Å"S- on his chest), because he was a man of strong character, dedicated to family, a fighter, and our own brand of hero.
Kenneth departed this life into eternal rest in the privacy of his home on August 19, 2011, and is now reunited with his loving wife, Victoria, and his son, Kenneth Jr.
