Keith Bruce Richard's Obituary
Let it be known...
Keith Bruce Richard was born on the 16th of December in the year One Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety Eight.
He is the son of Jason Richard and Morhia Mote and (step) son to Zach Mote. Keith is also the brother of William, Breanna, Jaron, Marisa and Mirena. He is the loving Husband of Kate Richard and dedicated Father of Carson Bruce Richard.
Keith is a joy and delight to many, but to those who were close to him, those who truly knew him, he is a treasure. With a smile that would light up the room and a keen sense of adventure, Keith was always ready to squeeze every ounce of enjoyment he possibly could out of life.
Keith commanded an eager curiosity about life with a bold, competitive spirit. He held tightly to the truth, unafraid to challenge or contest any and all forms of injustice. The compassion he felt for others and his desire to help those in need, regularly going out of his way, he demonstrated he possessed the heart of a true warrior.
Wherever he went, Keith quickly gained the resect and admiration of those around him. His charisma, generosity, and sense of humor were quite often what would draw people to him and earn him a title of " the life of the party".
Keith courageously battled stage 4 brain cancer over the course of 15 months. He endured 3 brain surgeries, 6 weeks of radiation, 5 months of chemo therapy, a gamma knife and countless hospital trips and doctor visits with most of his waking hours fighting through pain and sickness caused by the treatments. Through all of which the hospital staff complemented him on his bravery and positivity in appreciation of his gratitude. When asked how he was doing, he would usually respond with a big smile and say, " too easy."
In the early hours of the morning on the 18th of May Two Thousand Twenty One, Keith stepped away from this world to enter into eternity.
Keith is a shining example of determination and strength in the midst of all that he faced and suffered. He is an inspiration to all of us and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity and proud to have had the privilege of knowing Keith.
Rest well Keith and know that you are survived by all who know and love you. You will be greatly missed. I love you, and thanks for the opportunity.
Until we meet again...
-Pokey
