Dear Harold,
You and Kaye were truly soul mates in the true sense of the term. Everyone could see that what you two had was very special, that some people never have in a lifetime. Our thoughts are with you. If you need anything please call.##imported-begin##Tom and Linda Newman##imported-end##
Dear Hal, Matt, Michael, Chris and family.
I was so sad to hear of your loss. As you all well know Kaye was a very special person and I hold her in high esteem. Dan and I had such fun with her on those football trips, she made football bearable. Kaye was so talented in everything she undertook and loved by us all. What a blithe spirit we enjoyed, I feel blessed to have known her. I am thinking of you all today, and would loved to have been able to join you in her celebration of life .... but I am miles away in Kauai and that is not possible.
With great sympathy, but joy for having known Kaye.

Hi Kaye,
I thought of you yesterday as I watered my lettuce and tomato seedlings. They’re growing under lights in my laundry room. ItÂ’s still cool on Kodiak Island, so IÂ’ll transplant the seedlings outside in early May. I smile when I think of the day you passed over to the other side: on the first day of spring. Go girl! I bet you took a trowel with you! Love, Marion##imported-begin##Marion Allen Owen##imported-end##
We will miss you Kaye! I am on Kauai and it is raining; as it is supposed to be. The memory of your smile helps warm even paradise in the rain. I can't make your service but I see you in the palm trees and the waves as they crash on the beach... Bon Voyage, ma cher! Alby##imported-begin##Alby Allen##imported-end##

I worked with Kaye many years ago at Frank Russell Company. I was quite young and I remember Kaye as always having a willing ear, a word of encouragement, and a beautiful smile. She loved her children and spoke of them often She gave of herself each and every day and although I have not seen her for many years, when she does cross my mind or when we are talking about the "old days" at Russell her name leaves me with a warm feeling. You are in my prayers. Think of her and smile-as I do-it is what Kaye would want.
Sincerely, Barb Shelstad Monroe##imported-begin##Barb Monroe##imported-end##
Kaye epitomized the title, "gracious lady".
She gave so much of herself to her community. As a member of the Junior League of Tacoma, I was first introduced to her during my provisional year 1979-80. She shared the importance that JLT played in her becoming a community volunteer. I have thought of her often as I volunteer. She left us too soon. I pray that our Lord will bless all of the family and dear friends during this difficult time. Our community has lost a true gift.##imported-begin##Carolyn Shain##imported-end##
