Kathy Marie Valenzuela's Obituary
Kathy Marie Valenzuela of Tacoma, Washington, lovingly known as Greeneyez or Katz, passed away Friday, September 6th, 2019 at the age of 56. Kathy was born August 16th, 1963 in Tacoma, Washington. She was a caregiver and mentor to many as well as the backbone to her family. Proceeding her in death is her daughter Desiree Moran and Grandfather Clifford Flanery. Kathy is survived by the love of her life, Raul Gutierrez-Perez, son Mandel Abernathy, daughters Leah Alvarez, Emiliana Valenzuela, sister Kimberly Allen, mother Irma Fairchild, grandmother Verna Flanery, 9 grandchildren and numerous other close relatives.
Kathy was described by family and those who knew her as wise, funny, loyal and honest yet sensitive. She loved camping, the ocean, listening to oldies music, attending pow wows and being with her grandchildren. Family was everything to Kathy.Her last wish was to be surrounded by friends and loved ones. With her passing we all have gained an angel. Please join us at Mountain View funeral home, Valley Chapel on September 21st, 2019 at 11:30am to celebrate the life and legacy of Kathy Marie Valenzuela.
The celebration of life will continue at the Lakewood Boys & Girls Club following the service.
