Kathryn E. Horst's Obituary
Kathryn E. Horst (Kay) was born to Bernard C. Matthews and Alberta Norwood Matthews on November 1, 1926, in Yoakum, Texas.
Kay married Arthur G. Horst in 1948 in Tacoma, Washington. She is survived by two daughters, Roxanne L. Stott and Jacqueline K. Flynn.
Kathryn was passionate about helping those less fortunate than herself. She enjoyed her career as a Special Needs bus driver and teacher's aide for Clover Park School District. When she could no longer drive, she made generous donations to children's hospitals and wildlife sanctuaries.
Kathryn liked to laugh and make others laugh. In the final weeks of her life, caregivers commented that she still enjoyed a good laugh.
Kathryn passed peacefully on July 8, 2025, at the age of 98.
