Kathleen Adeline Oyster's Obituary
Kathleen (Kathy) A. Oyster was born to John and Vida Walsh in Helena Montana on May 20th,1929 and passed away peacefully November 30th, 2020. She was preceded in death by Bryon (Bud) Oyster the love of her life, her sisters Georgia Lumsden and Betty Knope and her grandson Jamie Birch. Kathy and her sister Georgia attended and graduated from Aquinas Academy when it was still a Catholic boarding school. She first worked as a nurses aid at Saint Joseph Hospital. Kathy then worked and retired from Tacoma School District and later with Bud owned Oyster’s Hallmark. She loved her family and would have loved to have "all" of us for dinner every Sunday. She was a great cook, loved gardening, flower arranging, decorating for every holiday and attended mass nearly every week at Saint Charles Borremeo in Tacoma and All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup. Kathy had a wonderful circle of dear friends. She is survived by her son Lenny (Diane) Ereth and daughters Debbie (Dale) Schubach and Vicki (Tom) Shepard. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank with an abundance of gratitude, Wilson and Betsy Simmons, owners of Royal Arms Adult Family Home for their endless love, care and devotion to our mom in her final months.
The funeral Mass for Kathy will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 503 3rd St. SW, Puyallup, WA 98371 December 19, 2020 at 11:00 A.M.
