Kathleen Marie Gill's Obituary
Celebrating the Journey of Kathleen Marie Gill
August 26th, 1962 – April 16th, 2026
Kathleen Marie Gill loved the feeling of setting out on a new road, and she carried that spirit from her first days in Tallahassee, Florida, to every corner of the globe she later explored. Her life was a steady invitation to join an adventure.
Friends remember how travel shaped almost every story she told. Whether she was resting on a quiet beach or pushing onward during a long hike, Kathleen mixed intelligence, creativity, determination, kindness, and resilience into each mile.
Even when she was home, she found small ways to turn an ordinary weekend into something special. Saturday Cookies were her ritual, and snickerdoodles—warm with cinnamon—were always her favorite.
Kathleen took her final journey on April 16th, 2026, in Tacoma, Washington. Though her passport now rests, her example of open-hearted curiosity keeps moving through the people who loved her.
We will think of her whenever we map out a trip, step onto a trail, or reach for a fresh cookie on a Saturday morning. Travel on, Kathleen, and thank you for showing us how wide and welcoming the world can be.
