Kathleen Marie Fisk's Obituary
Kathleen Marie Fisk, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, at her South Hill home, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Seattle on August 26, 1952, Kathy dedicated her life to family, education, and adventure.
After marrying Terry in 1974, they settled in Pierce County. Kathy earned her teaching credentials from Evergreen State College and embarked on a fulfilling career at Graham Elementary School, where she taught first and second grade. A true lover of the Northwest, she cherished hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, fishing, and traveling. Her travel adventures included France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Russia, Denmark, Colombia and many trips to England.
Kathy’s unwavering love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Terry; son Tyler Fisk and daughter-in-law Cari of Mill Creek, WA, and their daughters Audrey and Alyssa; daughter Courtney Loughnane and son-in-law Dean of Wareham, England, and their sons Lucas and Cooper; brother Steve Hilderbrand and his family, Star Keranen and niece Emilie Hughes; and nephew Justin Mullene and his wife Kerri, and their son Devon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Dulcie Hilderbrand, sister Debbie Telquist, and niece Brittani Telquist.
Despite her devastating diagnosis, Kathy faced her illness with courage and dignity. The family extends their gratitude to her sister-in-law Carol Dedrick, Kathy’s brother and his wife, best friend Claudia Ball, and others who provided unwavering emotional support during those challenging times.
In honor of Kathy's giving spirit, donations may be made to Feeding America and Planned Parenthood.
