Kathleen M. Blomquist's Obituary
Kathleen M. Blomquist, 63 of Puyallup passed away peacefully July 28, 2016. Born July 20th, 1953 in Tacoma, WA the second child of Winton and Mary Blomquist. Kathy is survived by her sister, Jody Cox (Randy) of Gig Harbor, WA. , two nieces, Andrea Miller (Kevin) of Tacoma, WA and Jamie Cox of Des Moines, WA and two-great-nieces and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Winton and Mary and her brother Dan Blomquist. Kathy attended Midland Elementary School for a number of years and retired from Center Force organization in 2010. Kathy loved to be with friends and go to dances and listen to music. Kathy was very chatty and enjoyed joking with everyone that she knew. When asked if she wanted to do something and didn't want to, her answer was always, "maybe later." She enjoyed her nieces and had many a slumber party with them usually resulting in Grandma cautioning them to "simmer down" and Andrea telling them to be quiet and go to sleep. Kathy was also able to enjoy her great-nieces and they delighted in visiting her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Franciscian Hospice Care.
