Kathleen Adams' Obituary
Kathleen "Kippy" Adams April 15, 1927 - March 12, 2008 Born Kathleen Margaret Norris, she received the nickname Kippy from her dad at an early age. Kippy became a registered nurse at the Tacoma General Hospital Nursing School in 1949. She practiced nursing in the field of pediatrics, and later attended Pacific Lutheran University to complete her BS in Nursing. A devoted wife and mother who also enjoyed all types of outdoor activities, Kippy was especially fond of camping, hiking, and playing baseball. In later years, she enjoyed touring the country with her husband in their motor home, wintering in Arizona, and camping out on the Satsup river at the old Adams homestead in the summer. Kippy will be remembered as a caring and selfless person. She was always ready to take care of the needs of others, including caring for her own aging mother at home for several years. Kippy is survived by her husband Lester Adams, her children Mary Rhine (Richard) and Dell Adams (Sue), and grandchildren Sierra, Callie, Cole, Micah, and Faith. She touched many lives and is much loved and missed. Service at 12:00 noon Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home.
