Katheryne B. Pittman passed away on February 13, 2026, in Tacoma, Washington. She was born on August 27, 1951, in Astoria, Oregon, to Alexander and Francetta “Dolly” Pittman. Katheryne was the firstborn of eight children and attended Lincoln High School in Tacoma.
Katheryne was a present mother who created a home where her children and their friends always felt welcome. Her house became a natural gathering place, known for its open door and comfortable atmosphere.
She enjoyed spending time with family, especially playing cards during gatherings. Spades was her favorite game, and she approached it with enthusiasm and a good sense of fun. She also valued quiet moments with a good book and found enjoyment in listening to music throughout her life.
Katheryne is survived by her children, Twilyne Wallace and Damian (Tay) Pittman; her grandson, Michael Davis; her sisters, Lizetta Pittman and Michelle Stagall; and her brothers, Alex Pittman, Timothy Pittman, Torrence Pittman, and Derrick Pickens. She was predeceased by her parents; her son, Corey Pittman; and her brother, Phillip Pittman.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her steady presence, and the way she contributed to the lives of those around her.
