Katheryn Fields' Obituary
Katheryn J. Fields passed away into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father suddenly on April 27, 2023 at the age of 94 surrounded by two of her children.
Kay, as she was affectionately called by those close to her, was born on December 16, 1928 in the small town of Finley, Arkansas. She was the oldest of four children. She is survived by brother, Bobby Caldwell of Hot Springs, Arkansas and sister, Meg Gruben, of Rotan, Texas.
Kay grew up and lived in Hot Springs, Arkansas until she married Harold Fields on March 6, 1948. Soon after their marriage they began their life of military travel while Harold served our country for over 20 years. Harold's military career resulted in them living in Massachusetts, Germany, California, and Colorado and had them eventually settling in their much-loved Pacific Northwest where they made their home after his retirement. Harold and Katheryn went on to become the parents of three sons and two daughters. They later divorced in 1983.
Katheryn was the loving and devoted mother to Rick (Sue) Fields, Debbie (Steve) Sullivan, Ron Fields, Roger Fields and Holly (Todd) Thompson. She is survived by grandchildren Brian (Ashley) Fields, Lauren (Justin) Bell, Adam (Kerri) Sullivan, Ben (Christa) Sullivan, Colton (Chelsea) Juarez and Austin Juarez. She was additionally blessed with great-grandchildren Trevor and Tenley Fields, Bryson Bell, Jetson and Jaxton Juarez, Dakota Sullivan, and Trevor Sullivan. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Lakewood followed by burial at Mountain View Memorial Park.
