Katheryn "Kitty" Bond's Obituary
Katheryn “Kitty” Barbara Bond was born on May 15, 1933 to her mother Emma Krenz. Kitty passed away at her nursing home on February 23, 2025 at the age of 91 in Tacoma, WA.
Kitty lived most of her life in the North Tacoma area where she settled with her late husband William Dale Bond. Kitty was a stay at home mother to both her sons: Michael David Reeves, whom she had from a previous marriage and Ray William Bond, from her marriage to William. Kitty leaves behind 4 grandchildren: Nikki Cope, Kasey Reeves, Destini-Rae Bond, and Kylie Totten-Bond as well as great-grand children.
Kitty enjoyed scavenger hunting for garage sales in the area, checking in at the goodwill for treasures, and playing bingo on the weekends. She enjoyed collecting ceramic cat figurines and at one point owned at least a thousand of them, without question.
Kitty enjoyed being a mother and grandmother and was a very generous one. She never hesitated to spoil them, even if it was a trinket she thought they’d enjoy from a garage sale, a neat home remedy trick she read about in a magazine, or a lunch on her. She was always trying to help out however she could. Kitty lived a long, beautiful, and at times, tough life and she will be missed by the loved ones she leaves behind.
Kitty now joins loved ones in the after life; her oldest son Michael Reeves, her husband William Dale Bond, her grandson, Devin William Bond, her sister Sharon Haines, and her mother Emma Krenz. The family has decided to not have a public service for Kitty but will be celebrating her life in private. In honor of Kitty, wear a cat pin on your collar, play a game of bingo, or hit up a local garage sale.
