Katelund Prukop, age 41, of Puyallup, Washington, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025. Born on January 26, 1984, Katelund spent her life rooted in the community she loved, growing up and residing in Puyallup.
A proud graduate of Puyallup High School’s Class of 2002, Katelund pursued her passion for the culinary arts at a Seattle-based culinary school. Her creativity and warmth extended beyond the kitchen, as she also built a career in the medical billing field, where her diligence and compassion touched many lives.
Katelund will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her devotion to family, and her quiet strength. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Elle Prukop; her mother, Marsha A. Lyman; her father, Donald Prukop; her sister, Sarah Medford; and her cherished niece and nephew. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her
