Born in Iowa in 1921, Karl passed away suddenly in Tacoma on Nov. 28, 2016, at the age of 95. He is survived by the love of his life, Dixie Scott, to whom he was married for over 74 years. He is also survived by three children, Karlene Zimmerman of Allyn, Diana (Bob) Meakins of Jefferson, Oregon, and Dale (Nancy) Scott of Puyallup, as well as 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
