I am saddened to learn of Karens passing but so grateful to have known her, Steve and family through the years. Her bright smile, genuine affection, and courage reminds me of how lasting an impact we all can make in this world. Steve was my first CO at Fort Leonard Wood. He and Karen were such a great influence to me and Bev in our 1st Army assignment.
I only met Karen once but knew she was an amazing woman. A woman of true character, honest and kind. I am great to have met you and honor your strength. Rest in Peace <3
We met Karen and Steve while in Fort Sill. Our husbands deployed and we were constant friends. She (along with the lovely daughters) were our sons first babysitter. Karen's light will continue to shine through Steve, Kimberly, Stephanie, and Katie. Thank you Sarah and Jim for raising such a loving person. With love to all of you

We had fun times when the cousins got together as children! Though our adult lives rarely intersected, the family bond remains strong and I feel a great emptiness with Karen gone from this world. Thank God, she is free from pain and I will see her again!!

When I remember my sister Karen I always think of her as Red with a smile. She was very caring and loving to all. Her and I had fun creating some projects over the years which I will treasure forever. Love to you all during this difficult time.
